O projecto De.:SID foi avaliado cientificamente pela FCT e recebeu a mais alta classificação.

"Os objectivos científicos previstos foram plenamente atingidos. Os resultados evidenciam grande qualidade científica, nomeadamente ao nível das publicações em revistas internacionais com referee. O projecto contribuiu para a formação de jovens investigadores e para a projecção internacional da equipa envolvida."

"Julgo que os resultados alcançados evidenciam um nível de qualidade científica potencialmente bastante elevado, pelo menos em três áreas:

(1) um aumento do nosso conhecimento do papel actual do design e do designer na indústria portuguesa;
(2) avanços teorico-conceptuais nos instrumentos analíticos disponíveis ao investigador; e
(3) ferramentas práticas passíveis de serem utilizadas por empresas com vontade de valorizar a componente de design nas suas estratégias de aumento da competitividade.”

 The project De: SID was scientifically evaluated by the FCT and received the highest rating.

"The scientific goals were fully met. The results show high scientific quality, particularly in terms of publications in international journals with referee. The project contributed to the training of young researchers and for the international projection of the team involved."

"I think the results show a level of scientific quality potentially quite high, at least in three areas:

(1) an increase in our knowledge of the actual role of design and the designer in Portuguese industry;
(2) theoretical and conceptual advances in analytical tools available to the researcher; and
(3) practical tools that can be used by companies wanting to enhance the design component of their strategies to increase competitiveness. "
